Learn the skills that the masters of the jazz guitar perfected. This course is an overview of the art of jazz guitar. Students will study the music and improvisation styles of many legendary jazz guitarists including: Charlie Christian, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, George Benson, Jim Hall, Joe Pass, Pat Martino and Grant Green. Included in this course will be a focus on transcription and analysis as well as learning the skills and concepts that made these musicians giants of the jazz guitar.
