The National Music Workshop is proud to announce the return of world- renowned jazz musician Pat Metheny. This special event is a rare opportunity to study in an intimate setting with Pat, as well as legendary drummer, Jack DeJohnette, and bassist, Larry Grenadier. Pat will also play in a special duo concert with Jim Hall. This workshop is not limited to guitarists. It’s open to any intermediate to advanced jazz musician So, whether you play guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, brass or woodwinds, we have a place for you. Drummers and Bassists, take note; during the week Jack and Larry will be conducting additional classes exclusively for you.
The day does not end with workshops, special ensemble programs, or master classes. Each evening will feature a private concert with Pat and other special guests. You will also receive the opportunity to perform a new piece written by Pat and custom tailored for the players that sign up for the week. You will get to perform that piece with Pat and the trio!
This incredible five-day event is held at the elegant Spa at Norwich Inn located in picturesque Norwich, Connecticut. The Inn features luxurious accommodations, gourmet meals and an attentive staff that will pamper you at every turn. This location is a perfect place to bring a spouse or friend and turn this wonderful week into something that you’ll be glad you shared.

Rates:
Participant on site $4950
Includes: four nights, Monday -Thursday, in a guest room or villa at the resort, all workshop classes, clinics, and performances, and all meals.
Participant off site $3750
Includes: all workshop classes, clinics, and performances. Meals may be purchased as desired from venue.
Non Participant on site $1950
Spouse, Parent, or Partner. Includes accommodations with participant, all meals, and a $500 spa credit.
